Job Description:
(Level Construction, Inc. has an opening in HARWOOD HEIGHTS, IL)
Project Engineer: Perform engineering duties in planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures. Design structures to serve function without collapsing, bending, twisting, or vibrating in undesirable ways. Make efficient use of funds for materials to achieve these structural goals.

Develop initial designs, using mathematics to calculate the stress that could arise at each point in the structure and simulate and model possible situations, such as high winds and earth movements. Inspecting the work and advising the contractors once work has commenced. Examine buildings, bridges, and other structures to discover whether or not they are structurally sound. Liaise with other designers, including architects, to reach agreement about safe designs and how they may fit in with the aesthetic concept of the construction. Scheduling the subcontractors for multiple projects. Estimating the projects. Work on Procore tool. Work on Revu beam tool. Work on AutoCAD for design development as per the site conditions and sending to architect and engineer. Creating the RFI’s, sending through Procore to Architect and owner. Create the submittal package through Procore for architect and owner Approval. Hiring sub-contractors for projects.

Requires master’s in civil engineering, or closely related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered, Estimator, or related. 2 years must include experience with AUTOCAD. Requires OSHA 10-hour certification (Construction Safety and Health). $86,736.00 per year.  Medical, dental, and vision insurance benefits as well as PTO offered to full-time employees.  We also offer a company 401(k) plan for full-time employment.
